Glen Rock Mill

Aka Gladfelter’s / Owings Brothers

Built as a woolen mill by William Heathcote in 1837, it was converted to a grist and flour mill in 1852 by Philip Sheffer. It was Gladfelter’s mill in 1885 until the Owings Brothers bought it in 1918. The mill operated into the mid-20th century and then fell into disuse.

The mill was renovated into a restaurant by Cecil Artrip in 1984. The mill still operates as a restaurant called the Glen Rock Mill Inn. The website is: https://www.table1837.com/
