Aka David Miller’s Mill

John Mish was the first to build a mill here in about 1810. The mill had several different owners until John Boyer purchased the property in 1851. Boyer operated the mill for fifteen years, long enough for the mill to be known by his name. In 1866, he sold it to David Miller who would be the last to run the mill. Miller operated the mill for another forty years. Then, in 1907, Miller sold the mill with its water rights to the Mechanicsburg Gas and Water Company. The structure still stands today as a water filtration plant.
