Aka Emig’s Mill

This is an early mill site that dates back to the colonial era. There was also a tavern here in those times. Three generations of Emig’s owned the mill from 1831 until 1908. Reuben Detter bought the old mill in 1912 and built the structure that stands today. Milling ended in the 1930s. The building has been repurposed as apartments.
