Muddy Creek Watershed

Muddy Creek Main Branch

The Muddy Creek Main Branch begins at Muddy Creek Forks where the North and South Branches join. This forms the conjunction of Fawn, East Hopewell, and Lower Chanceford Townships. The main branch flows generally eastward until it joins the Susquehanna River where it forms the boundary of Lower Chanceford and Peachbottom Townships.

Muddy Creek North Branch

The North Branch of the Muddy Creek begins in North Hopewell Township and flows east through Felton until it joins the South Branch at Muddy Creek Forks.

Pine Run

Pine Run begins in Windsor Township just east of Red Lion. It flows southward until it joins the Muddy Creek North Branch in Felton.

Rambo Run

Rambo Run is a tributary of the North Branch of the Muddy Creek that begins in East Hopewell Township. It is named for Aaron Rambo, who owned property along this stream in the 19th century. The stream was also called Hyson run in some deeds.

Muddy Creek South Branch

The South Branch begins just west of New Park and flows north until it meets the North Branch at Muddy Creek Forks. The old maps call this the Little Muddy Creek.
